Bilal Lakhani

Bilal Lakhani

Hello, I’m Bilal, a BACP accredited psychotherapist with experience helping adults who are struggling with stress and anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, relationship problems, trauma, addiction, self-esteem, identity development and life and career transitions. If you've landed here, you're likely seeking support for something similar. Acknowledging that you need help is the first step towards healing, and I'm here to provide that support.

I hold an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King's College London, an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling, and additional certifications in CBT, Meditation in Psychotherapy, and Psychedelic Practitioner Training. I work from an integrative perspective, blending psychodynamic, client-centered, CBT, and mindfulness-based therapies.

When we work together, we'll delve into your past, your worries, your identity. These elements have shaped you, but they don't determine your future. I don't have a magic wand, but I am here to walk this path with you, helping you to better understand these experiences and their impacts on your life.

My role in therapy is not as a healer but a guide. Our focus will be on unearthing your inherent ability for self-healing, even when it means confronting uncomfortable truths. Therapy with me may involve challenges and deep explorations, but it's all part of a process aiming towards self-understanding and personal growth.

Additionally, I'm trained to support individuals in understanding and integrating psychedelic experiences. This aspect of my work recognizes the profound, often complex nature of these experiences and their potential for catalyzing transformation when integrated effectively.

Therapy is a journey, not a destination, and each journey is unique. Quick fixes aren't the goal here, but ongoing support, understanding, and commitment to the process are. If you're considering starting this journey, I'm here to discuss the possibility of working together to determine if I might be a good fit for your needs.
